National Geographic Magazine is holding a photo contest. We are going to submit some of our photos. Help us pick the best ones. You can anonymously vote on them. If you click on an image, you’ll get a larger view, a brief description, the ability to vote there, and links to the previous and next images.

We (grandchildren of the late Samuel Mankoff of Newark, NJ) continue to enjoy your adventures vicariously. Interesting to note how many common interests we share, specifically aeroplanes (see brother Al’s website). Both Al and Bob, now in their early 80s, worked for American Airlines when commercial air travel was in its infancy. Al’s son Rob was a Navy and, later, commercial pilot for many years.
We’ve recently received results from a DNA test (via ancestry.com) of our patrilinear heritage. If you know of other Mankoffs who have done this, we would be interested in exchanging information. Of course, we’re always eager to meet other Mankoffs, closely related or not. It’s a fascinating heritage we share.
