With 10 days to go, I finally got my tickets from RPSC. I leave New York City at 1400 on October 1. I travel for 27 hours (20 of them in the air), and land in Christchurch, NZ at 1000 on October 3, 42 hours in the future.
We are scheduled to leave Christchurch for McMurdo on the 8th, and I think that is approximately a 6 hour flight, with a decent chance of a boomerang.
